It hasn’t rain too much prior to our trip so the trails and waterbed were very dry. it was a beautiful day in Buffalo and my wife and I decide to see the eternal fame in Chestnut Ridge Park. By the time I finished shooting the falls, many people had started the walk up the gorge so early in the week is the key. I will admit, I looked closely to see if there was any sign of a gas line but, no, it's actually natural (sorry, I'm from Florida and am used to tourist traps, like Disney). As I photograph landscapes and wildlife, this allowed me to set up the tripod and not have to worry about being in the way or having people in the way of a shot. I did both and got to the falls before any crowds. I usually get to these places early to avoid crowds and try to do these trips during the week. Neither trail is flat and it's a climb down into the gorge once you get toward the end.

Turn left on the main trail and you will see small markers leading to the falls.

The trail at this location is not marked but keep on the worn path and you will intersect with the main trail leading from the park. You pass the main park and turn right on a small paved road that leads to a parking shoulder on the right next to a well-trod trail. I have two replaced hips so I decided to take the advice and give it a try as the closer the better in my case. I came upon an article about the falls that mentioned a roadside parking area that was closer to the falls complete with GPS coordinates. In the area to visit family, I was made aware of this waterfall and felt I had to check it out after viewing photos online.
